It Sunday morning and I'm dreading going back to classes Monday. Why, you ask? Because I had a tension headache since Friday afternoon and its just not very conducive to learning. Add in congestion and its a party. I'm definitely not feeling 100% right now.
On a brighter note, the Olympics have been going on for a little over a week.
Today is Day 10. Ski-cross debuts this afternoon, along with some good old fashioned curling, biathlon-ing, some alpine skiing, speed skating, bobsledding, and hockey. The long anticipated, Canada vs. USA is on this evening courtesy of MSNBC. But you can still get your hockey fix by watching Russia play Czech Republic on NBC if you don't have full cable. Well now that this is starting to sound like a commercial for the Olympics...I digress.
I should probably get to work on my World Music homework. I'm supposed to write about music in worship, but I need to start now, and the Gathering is tonight. :/ We'll see how it all works out. I am going over to Phelps 306 yet again, to work on homework and watch the Olympics. Its been nice hanging out with Kate. And Erin when she's around, not doing KBPhi things. :)
Till next time,

Here I am. Sitting in Phelps 306 with Kate Krueger, watching the Olympics, and attempting to write my 2 page paper. So what do I do, I blog.
The Olympics may be the death of me academically. Hopefully, I'm wrong though. I'm going to need to get ahead of the game and cut out the procrastination. I must say though, I thoroughly enjoy watching the Olympics and watching them with Kate at that. :D Tonight is men's figure skating, free program. GO EVAN LYSACEK! Hopefully he'll move from 2nd place up into 1st.
By the way, USA is leading the medal count. USA has 17 while Germany has 11.
Anyways, I'm super excited to see the long program. The last group is warming up, and Evan skates first. :/
Well I should probably get working on my paper. Health and wellness and how it combines with athletic training. I've got 2 sentences to start with. Hopefully I'm not up all night doing it. Fingers crossed.

I had so much fun this weekend. Friday night, I watched The Princess Bride with Lisa and Emily. We stopped the movie a little over halfway through and went and watched the hockey game. It was definitely a lot of fun, and the fact that we won helps. :) After the game we went back to Lisa's and finished up the movie. My night wasn't over yet though. I then went to my friend's cottage and watched Harry Potter and the Half-Blooded Prince. Its definitely not my favorite since it ventures to far from the book, plot wise, but the company was good. He walked me back to Gilmore since it was like 3 in the morning. How nice, yes? Saturday started early with a quick shower and then a bible study. A few of the girls in Gilmore went to the Windmill, a local restaurant, read a psalm and ate some breakfast. Their cinnamon rolls are FANTASTIC! I then went to Kate and Erin's room for movie/pizza night. Sadly, Erin was at the Cent Informal but Carissa was able to come so that was sweet since I haven't seen much of her. :( We watched Ghosts of Girlfriend's Past, ate some pizza, watched Paranormal Activity, and finished the night off with Toddlers and Tiaras. I even went on a round with Kate. Super exciting, no?
Now you're probably thinking so much excitement in such a small amount of time...this has got to be the end of this fantastic weekend. If you are though, you're wrong. Sunday was Super Bowl Sunday which equated to a trip to Target and Meijer and finally with a sweet get together in Phelps 306 yet again. Sadly the Colts lost due to Manning's horrible pass, but the Saints won which made some of my friends quite happy. My favorite commercial was when the little boy was telling his momma's new boyfriend, "2 things. Don't touch my momma, and don't touch my Doritos." It was just too cute.
Now I didn't get a whole lot of homework done this weekend, but I did have fun and you need one of those weekends every once in a while. Without them, I could go crazy and that just wouldn't be good at all. I can't wait for this weekend when Winter Break starts as well as the Olympics. Its going to be a grand old time. Hopefully I'll be able to concentrate and get things done while following the Olympics too. :)

What a weekend! Saturday I went down to Olivet with the women's basketball team. After a 2 hour bus ride, we arrived and I got everything off the bus and behind the bench. The student coaches for the varsity team were nice enough to make me a turkey and cheese sandwich that I ate just before the start of the JV game. The first half was pretty intense as Olivet held the lead at halftime. After an inspiring speech from the coach, who may or may not have thrown the clipboard, the girls straightened up and ended up pulling out a victory. During half time and the beginning of the second half I was in the locker room and training room getting the varsity team ready for their game. After some taping, heating, and massage they were set and ready to play. The varsity's game went well. They pulled out real quick and held the lead. They ended up winning by 30 which is always nice. During their half time I ate some of the pizza the JV team had left over, 3 pieces to be exact. After the girls were ready to go, we loaded up the bus and were getting updates on the Calvin/Hope game going on back in Holland. It was a close one, but we ended up getting the W for the wins column. The bus ride home consisted of more pizza, 3 more slices. I was definitely full. Sunday was a relaxing, yet productive day. I got all my homework done in a somewhat timely manner.
Today, classes went well. I got out of ex. phys early. Injury Assessment went well and in World Music I learned Bulgarian dancing. I'm now set if I'm invited to a Bulgarian wedding cause I know the dances. Yay me! I then went to work, ate dinner, and now I'm blogging. I should probably work on homework. Tomorrow, I'm going to St. Mary's for a symposium for athletic training. Hopefully that all goes well.
Hope/Calvin game on Wednesday! GO DUTCH!!!
