Tonight starts the Final Four of the NCAA Div 3 Women's Tournament. The early game at 5pm CT, will pit unbeaten Amherst against Wash-U. Following that game, Hope will take on Rochester, NY. Rochester has been a giant killer and are definitely considered the underdog. Hope's Dutch will have to play tough, out-rebound, and ultimately out-score Rochester. This game will start at 8/7 CT and will be streaming online.
Last night there was a banquet for the teams, and I was lucky enough to join. The food was delicious and the presentations were well done. Carrie Snikkers and a player from Amherst were named to the All-American team. Also, Carrie Snikkers was named player of the year. She has done a lot this year and is one amazing player.
Well, I should probably start getting ready for the game tonight.

They did it! They really did it! Hope College is in the Final Four and will be traveling back to IWU this week to play for it all. They did so well last night. I'm so proud to be one of their student athletic trainers. UW-Stevens Point put up on heck of a fight, keeping the game close . The final score of the game was 71-64. We will play Rochester, NY in the semis this Friday. I'm not sure of the game time yet, but I'll make sure to post.

Today is game day, yet again. We play UW Steven's Point tonight at 8/7CT. Hope played hard against Marymount and it showed. They did so awesome and I am so proud to be one of their athletic training students. :D Point played Illinois Wesleyan yesterday and beat them on their home court. They will be coming in with a lot of momentum but if we bring our A-game, I think we can take em. :)

Sitting in a hotel room, its finally starting to hit me. I'm working with the women's basketball team during NCAA tournament play. The first 2 rounds were at Hope so in a way it seemed to just be a continuation of the regular season.
Now that I'm...
- missing classes
- riding in a bus for 4 hours
- watching the employees at Panera get real worried when the bus
empties and we walk in
- sitting in a hotel room
... I'm really doing this. Its really happening.
Besides getting tired of being on a bus, today has been a good day. Practice starts at 4:30 CT so we're leaving the hotel at 3:30. Hopefully practice goes well and there will be nothing but good things to report. :D
Well I should probably start on some stupid homework I have to do for Friday. Darn World Music.
Till next time,
Sarah

It was brought to my attention last night that I haven't blogged in quite a while. My response, I've been busy. Well since this morning I got up before I really needed to and I've got a few minutes I figured I should catch up on some blogging.
The biggest story right now in my life is women's basketball. True, I don't play, but I am one of their student athletic trainers. They are such an amazing group of girls and I love watching them play. Last Friday night they played in the first round of NCAA play. In a meeting against Denison, Hope pulled out ahead and didn't look back. The final score for the night was Hope 68, Denison 40. It was then on to face DePauw, who had beat Lakeland on Friday. Saturday night, round 2, it was a much closer game. Hope led the first half, but it was always a rather small lead. 5 min into the second half, DePauw tied it up. The Lady Dutch kicked it into gear and ended up beating the Tigers, 68-54. They will play Marymout, VA at Illinois Wesleyan Univ this Friday. :) Hopefully, they will continue their 20 game win streak.
In other news...well there hasn't been much time for other news. I've been super busy with athletic training and keeping up with the girls. But, I wouldn't have it any other way. :D
