White Horse
Say you're sorry, that face of an angel
Comes out just when you need it to
As I paced back and forth all this time
Cause I honestly believed in you
Holding on, the days drag on
Stupid girl, I should have known
I should have known
I'm not a princess, this ain't a fairy tale
I'm not the one you'll sweep off her feet
Lead her up the stairwell
This ain't Hollywood, this is a small town
I was a dreamer before you went and let me down
Now it's too late for you and your white horse, to come around
Baby I was naive, got lost in your eyes
And never really had a chance
I had so many dreams about you and me
Happy endings, now I know
I'm not a princess, this ain't a fairy tale
I'm not the one you'll sweep off her feet
Lead her up the stairwell
This ain't Hollywood, this is a small town
I was a dreamer before you went and let me down
Now it's too late for you and your white horse, to come around
And there you are on your knees
Begging for forgiveness, begging for me
Just like I always wanted but I'm so sorry
Cause I'm not your princess, this ain't a fairytale
I'm gonna find someone someday who might actually treat me well
This is a big world, that was a small town
There in my rearview mirror disappearing now
And its too late for you and your white horse
Now its too late for you and your white horse, to catch me now
Oh, whoa, whoa, whoa
Try and catch me now
Oh, it's too late to catch me now
Comes out just when you need it to
As I paced back and forth all this time
Cause I honestly believed in you

Sept 19
There's 4 days till my birthday and only one thing I truly want for my 21st birthday. Its not my new driver's license. Its not some delicious drink. Its not cake. Its not clothes. Its not money. In fact its not a thing at all. Its a person. Someone I've been wanting to see for quite some time now, yet for some reason it never seems to work out. If I was to see them, talk with them, be with them, it would be the happiest birthday ever.

Good morning all!
What am I doing up at 4 in the morning? Well I was washing and drying clothes so I could take clean clothes to FLORIDA! That's right, I'm heading to the Sunshine State. Well our flight leaves out of Grand Rapids at 9 am and I guess you're supposed to be like 2 hrs early which would put us there at 7 am. Not early enough? Well its a good 45 min drive from my house to the airport so we need to leave our house by 6:30 am. So my predicament last night/this morning was if I should stay up and sleep on the plane and be dead to the world OR sleep for 3 hrs. In case you haven't caught on, I chose the first one. Matt, my brother, was gonna try and stay up with me...I've lost track of him. Last I saw him he was asleep on our dining room floor. My guess is he found a more comfy spot.
I'm quite excited for our trip, its just too bad my sister, Mary, won't be able to come. She has to play in a quartet for a wedding. My mom, brother and myself will fly down on a flight and my dad will come later on a different flight since he has free miles. He will only stay till Saturday since he has to preach on Sunday. The rest of us will be in sunny Florida till next Thursday. That's right people, one whole week.
The only thing I'm worried about on this trip is the flight down. I managed to throw my back out a good 15 mins ago and my back has spasmed like nothing else. Hopefully I'll be able to sit on the 2 hr flight and actually be able to stand up and look like a normal person when we land in Orlando. I should be okay....especially if I take some meds. Gotta love the ibuprofen.
While I ramble on about tonight and its excitement, guess who just released a new song. If you guessed Taylor Swift, you'd be right. Her song, Mine, is good. Kinda sounds like her other songs, but I still like it. There's also a free song on iTunes this week I would highly recommend, Breathe by Ryan Star.
Well, one more hour now till more people wake up and we are on our way to grand ol' Florida. I'll make sure to get some pictures on here of my adventures...as long as I remember to take them. :)

This week in the training room....
So this past week I've been paid to...- read Son of a Witch, the book after Wicked.
- hand out mouth guards to high school football campers.
- watch those same high school boys do football drills.
- watch tv episodes on my computer: Psych, Burn Notice, Bones, Royal Pains, basically a lot of USA network shows.
- watch movies on my computer: Alice in Wonderland and Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. You may say I'm on a Johnny Depp kick.
Its hard to believe that summer is almost over. It seems like just last week I was hauling boxes up from the storage room and sorting supplies. Today, this is the last day of volleyball camp. Next week there's a lacrosse camp from Sunday to Wednesday and then I'm done working camps.
What will I do with my new found free time? Well the first week of my wonderful time off will be spent in Florida with my mom and brother. We'll be going to Disney and visiting family. I'm pretty excited, not gonna lie.
Well I'm gonna watch the rest of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.
Till next time....

July 11
First day of women's basketball team camp, soccer elite camp, and some dance camp and guess what I've already done. If you guessed sent a kid to the hospital to get stitches, then you guessed right. Ridiculous, huh? And the best part, this lovely soccer player wasn't even playing soccer. He was goofin off in the dorm room and hit his chin on the floor and well, you know how the story ends. Great way to start off the week, no? Hopefully we don't have a repeat of the first week of camps and send a camper to the hospital everyday. That would NOT be cool.
So right now, I sit here, in Devos, smelling Papa Johns pizza given to us courtesy of the coolest women's basketball coach ever, listening to Pandora, checkin my facebook, chatting on gmail, with an occasional injury assessment. This is basically what I get paid for. I love my job. :)
Well I will try and be better about updating. Till next time....

July 8
What's happened since May 28th?
- Matt's out of the hospital and doing well.
- I'm living at Fairbanks Cottage.
- 3 weeks of summer camps have happened.
- I sent my first camper to the ER.
- I went to the beach in Holland.
- I helped Carissa put stuff in storage.
- I went to a Tigers game and watched them beat the Mariners, 7-1.
- I traveled to TC to see Katherine.
- I got lost on my way to TC to see Katherine.
- I went shopping at the Gap and saw Toy Story 3 with Katherine.
Overall, I've been busy...but with some pretty cool things/people. Living in Holland during the summer has been nice. My housemates are pretty cool and the cottage has air conditioning which is definitely an added bonus. Thankfully most of the camps have been uneventful. Our first week was crazy. Who knew men's basketball team camp would cause so many injures? I'm just preparing myself for the elite soccer camp. I've heard wonderful things about that.
Tuesday, I made a trip up to see Katherine. We had lunch with her mom, saw where Kelly works, walked around the Cherry Festival, went shopping at the Gap where I got some pretty sweet clothes, went swimming, went jet skiing, ate dinner, went to see Toy Story 3 (after buying snacks at Target), decoupaged for the first time, had a successful bonfire...yep I think I got everything. We were mighty productive. I had to drive home the next day though. I had an awesome time visiting, even if my directions up there were so confusing it probably took me an extra 45 minutes to arrive at my final destination.
Well I'm gonna head to bed...I think I may go buy a white skirt at Meijer in the morning. It would go quite well with a shirt I bought at the Gap. ;)

May 28
Alright...since I haven't been blogging in what seems like forever I figured since I have some time now, what the heck.
Ways to spend your Thursday night/Friday morning:
- getting restricted calls in the middle of the night
- sleeping on a rather uncomfortable bed
- sleeping in a rather cold room
- being woken up in the middle of the night...multiple times
- having pop, specifically Pepsi, brought to you
- blogging at 3 am
But why try and do all those things at different times? If you stay at the hospital with Matt overnight, this can happen to you too! But really, I'm glad to spend more time with my little brother, even if he's sleeping. I mean, the bed isn't THAT bad. I did sleep on a loft for a year and I lived to tell about it. It just pains me to know that he's in pain and he's sick and there's nothing I can do about it. He's a strong kid, no matter what anyone else may think.
Well I think he's back of to dreamland again and hopefully the tylenol helps with the pain. I never realized how much we are a like till tonight. He didn't want to take it...."Why?" you ask....because he doesn't like to swallow the pills. A boy after my own heart. I very much dislike swallowing pills. But hey...that's beside the point. End result...he took the meds and I think he's feeling better. :) Well atleast for now.
<3 LOVE!
P.S. I feel the need to express that its been quite strange using a pc again. I catch myself trying to make it work like a mac and it's just not going to happen. Haha.

May 3
I sit here, in my room, watching Beetle Juice, thinking. Thinking about so many different things. What you ask? Exams, assignments I have to finish, my knee hurting, why does my knee hurt, boys, boys who actually talk to me, boys who I wish talked to me more. My mind is just running a million miles a minute and not on the things it should be. I haven't heard from my one special boy in what seems like forever. Its probably more like 3 days, but it still seems like forever. The hardest part is, that normally, even if he can't talk, he'll let me know. But recently, I haven't even gotten a "hey, can't talk" or a "i'm so busy, sorry". I feel like I've made him mad or he just doesn't want to talk with me and its disappointing. On the other hand, there's a different boy who will text me back and will let me know whats going on. However, I don't feel the same way towards him as I do the special one. (I've decide to leave out names.) Who knows, maybe its because I just don't know him as well. I think this summer will hopefully hold a lot of answers for me.
I've started to rant and rave....about nameless boys nonetheless...and my last ditch effort to hear from my favorite has worked. Its crazy how much my happiness can be wrapped up in one person's ability to text/fb chat with me. It shouldn't be like that. I know it, yet it doesn't change the fact.

Come in with the Rain
I could go back to every laugh
But I don't want to go there anymore and I
know all the steps up to your door
But I don't want to go there anymore
Talk to the wind, talk to the sky
Talk to the man with the reasons why
And let me know what you find
I'll leave my window open
Cause I'm too tired tonight
to call your name
Just know I'm right here hoping
You'll come in with the rain
I could stand up and sing you a song
But I don't want to have to go that far and I
I've got you down, I know you by heart
And you don't even know where I start
Talk to yourself, talk to the tears
Talk to the man who put you here
Don't wait for the sky to clear
CHORUS
I've watched you so long
screamed your name
I don't know what else
I can say
But I'll leave my window open
Cause I'm too tired tonight
for all these games
Just know I'm right here hoping

Friday night beneath the stars,
in a field behind your yard,
you and I are paintin' pictures in the sky.
And sometimes we don't say a thing;
just listen to the crickets sing.
Everything I need is right here by my side.
And I know everything about you
I don't wanna live without you.
[Chorus:]
I'm only up when you're not down.
Don't wanna fly if you're still on the ground.
It's like no matter what I do.
Well you drive me crazy half the time;
the other half I'm only trying to let you know that what I feel is true.
And I'm only me when I'm with you.
Just a small town boy and girl
livin' in a crazy world.
Tryin' to figure out what is and isn't true.
And I don't try to hide my tears.
The secrets or my deepest fears.
Through it all nobody gets me like you do.
And you know everything about me.
You say that you can't live without me.
[Chorus]
When I'm with anybody else it's so hard to be myself.
Only you can tell.
[Chorus:]
That I'm only up when you're not down.

March 19 - FINAL FOUR
Tonight starts the Final Four of the NCAA Div 3 Women's Tournament. The early game at 5pm CT, will pit unbeaten Amherst against Wash-U. Following that game, Hope will take on Rochester, NY. Rochester has been a giant killer and are definitely considered the underdog. Hope's Dutch will have to play tough, out-rebound, and ultimately out-score Rochester. This game will start at 8/7 CT and will be streaming online.
Last night there was a banquet for the teams, and I was lucky enough to join. The food was delicious and the presentations were well done. Carrie Snikkers and a player from Amherst were named to the All-American team. Also, Carrie Snikkers was named player of the year. She has done a lot this year and is one amazing player.
Well, I should probably start getting ready for the game tonight.
FIRE UP, DUTCH!

They did it! They really did it! Hope College is in the Final Four and will be traveling back to IWU this week to play for it all. They did so well last night. I'm so proud to be one of their student athletic trainers. UW-Stevens Point put up on heck of a fight, keeping the game close . The final score of the game was 71-64. We will play Rochester, NY in the semis this Friday. I'm not sure of the game time yet, but I'll make sure to post.

Today is game day, yet again. We play UW Steven's Point tonight at 8/7CT. Hope played hard against Marymount and it showed. They did so awesome and I am so proud to be one of their athletic training students. :D Point played Illinois Wesleyan yesterday and beat them on their home court. They will be coming in with a lot of momentum but if we bring our A-game, I think we can take em. :)

Sitting in a hotel room, its finally starting to hit me. I'm working with the women's basketball team during NCAA tournament play. The first 2 rounds were at Hope so in a way it seemed to just be a continuation of the regular season.
Now that I'm...
- missing classes
- riding in a bus for 4 hours
- watching the employees at Panera get real worried when the bus
empties and we walk in
- sitting in a hotel room
... I'm really doing this. Its really happening.
Besides getting tired of being on a bus, today has been a good day. Practice starts at 4:30 CT so we're leaving the hotel at 3:30. Hopefully practice goes well and there will be nothing but good things to report. :D
Well I should probably start on some stupid homework I have to do for Friday. Darn World Music.
Till next time,
Sarah

It was brought to my attention last night that I haven't blogged in quite a while. My response, I've been busy. Well since this morning I got up before I really needed to and I've got a few minutes I figured I should catch up on some blogging.
The biggest story right now in my life is women's basketball. True, I don't play, but I am one of their student athletic trainers. They are such an amazing group of girls and I love watching them play. Last Friday night they played in the first round of NCAA play. In a meeting against Denison, Hope pulled out ahead and didn't look back. The final score for the night was Hope 68, Denison 40. It was then on to face DePauw, who had beat Lakeland on Friday. Saturday night, round 2, it was a much closer game. Hope led the first half, but it was always a rather small lead. 5 min into the second half, DePauw tied it up. The Lady Dutch kicked it into gear and ended up beating the Tigers, 68-54. They will play Marymout, VA at Illinois Wesleyan Univ this Friday. :) Hopefully, they will continue their 20 game win streak.
In other news...well there hasn't been much time for other news. I've been super busy with athletic training and keeping up with the girls. But, I wouldn't have it any other way. :D

Feb 21
It Sunday morning and I'm dreading going back to classes Monday. Why, you ask? Because I had a tension headache since Friday afternoon and its just not very conducive to learning. Add in congestion and its a party. I'm definitely not feeling 100% right now.
On a brighter note, the Olympics have been going on for a little over a week.
Today is Day 10. Ski-cross debuts this afternoon, along with some good old fashioned curling, biathlon-ing, some alpine skiing, speed skating, bobsledding, and hockey. The long anticipated, Canada vs. USA is on this evening courtesy of MSNBC. But you can still get your hockey fix by watching Russia play Czech Republic on NBC if you don't have full cable. Well now that this is starting to sound like a commercial for the Olympics...I digress.
I should probably get to work on my World Music homework. I'm supposed to write about music in worship, but I need to start now, and the Gathering is tonight. :/ We'll see how it all works out. I am going over to Phelps 306 yet again, to work on homework and watch the Olympics. Its been nice hanging out with Kate. And Erin when she's around, not doing KBPhi things. :)
Till next time,

On a brighter note, the Olympics have been going on for a little over a week.

Here I am. Sitting in Phelps 306 with Kate Krueger, watching the Olympics, and attempting to write my 2 page paper. So what do I do, I blog.
The Olympics may be the death of me academically. Hopefully, I'm wrong though. I'm going to need to get ahead of the game and cut out the procrastination. I must say though, I thoroughly enjoy watching the Olympics and watching them with Kate at that. :D Tonight is men's figure skating, free program. GO EVAN LYSACEK! Hopefully he'll move from 2nd place up into 1st.
By the way, USA is leading the medal count. USA has 17 while Germany has 11.
Anyways, I'm super excited to see the long program. The last group is warming up, and Evan skates first. :/
Well I should probably get working on my paper. Health and wellness and how it combines with athletic training. I've got 2 sentences to start with. Hopefully I'm not up all night doing it. Fingers crossed.

I had so much fun this weekend. Friday night, I watched The Princess Bride with Lisa and Emily. We stopped the movie a little over halfway through and went and watched the hockey game. It was definitely a lot of fun, and the fact that we won helps. :) After the game we went back to Lisa's and finished up the movie. My night wasn't over yet though. I then went to my friend's cottage and watched Harry Potter and the Half-Blooded Prince. Its definitely not my favorite since it ventures to far from the book, plot wise, but the company was good. He walked me back to Gilmore since it was like 3 in the morning. How nice, yes? Saturday started early with a quick shower and then a bible study. A few of the girls in Gilmore went to the Windmill, a local restaurant, read a psalm and ate some breakfast. Their cinnamon rolls are FANTASTIC! I then went to Kate and Erin's room for movie/pizza night. Sadly, Erin was at the Cent Informal but Carissa was able to come so that was sweet since I haven't seen much of her. :( We watched Ghosts of Girlfriend's Past, ate some pizza, watched Paranormal Activity, and finished the night off with Toddlers and Tiaras. I even went on a round with Kate. Super exciting, no?
Now you're probably thinking so much excitement in such a small amount of time...this has got to be the end of this fantastic weekend. If you are though, you're wrong. Sunday was Super Bowl Sunday which equated to a trip to Target and Meijer and finally with a sweet get together in Phelps 306 yet again. Sadly the Colts lost due to Manning's horrible pass, but the Saints won which made some of my friends quite happy. My favorite commercial was when the little boy was telling his momma's new boyfriend, "2 things. Don't touch my momma, and don't touch my Doritos." It was just too cute.
Now I didn't get a whole lot of homework done this weekend, but I did have fun and you need one of those weekends every once in a while. Without them, I could go crazy and that just wouldn't be good at all. I can't wait for this weekend when Winter Break starts as well as the Olympics. Its going to be a grand old time. Hopefully I'll be able to concentrate and get things done while following the Olympics too. :)

What a weekend! Saturday I went down to Olivet with the women's basketball team. After a 2 hour bus ride, we arrived and I got everything off the bus and behind the bench. The student coaches for the varsity team were nice enough to make me a turkey and cheese sandwich that I ate just before the start of the JV game. The first half was pretty intense as Olivet held the lead at halftime. After an inspiring speech from the coach, who may or may not have thrown the clipboard, the girls straightened up and ended up pulling out a victory. During half time and the beginning of the second half I was in the locker room and training room getting the varsity team ready for their game. After some taping, heating, and massage they were set and ready to play. The varsity's game went well. They pulled out real quick and held the lead. They ended up winning by 30 which is always nice. During their half time I ate some of the pizza the JV team had left over, 3 pieces to be exact. After the girls were ready to go, we loaded up the bus and were getting updates on the Calvin/Hope game going on back in Holland. It was a close one, but we ended up getting the W for the wins column. The bus ride home consisted of more pizza, 3 more slices. I was definitely full. Sunday was a relaxing, yet productive day. I got all my homework done in a somewhat timely manner.
Today, classes went well. I got out of ex. phys early. Injury Assessment went well and in World Music I learned Bulgarian dancing. I'm now set if I'm invited to a Bulgarian wedding cause I know the dances. Yay me! I then went to work, ate dinner, and now I'm blogging. I should probably work on homework. Tomorrow, I'm going to St. Mary's for a symposium for athletic training. Hopefully that all goes well.
Hope/Calvin game on Wednesday! GO DUTCH!!!

Its 9 am, and technically I should be in class. The thing is the prof let us out after 30 min of lecturing cause he was done. I'm alright with it, less boring time listening about goniometry.
I called and was able to talk to my dad this morning on my way to class. It was nice to get to talk to him before he leaves, and then I won't know the next time I'll get to chat with him. For those of you who don't know, my dad has been called to active duty status with the United States Air Force to serve at US Southern Command HQ in Miami, FL for a minimum of 30 days. This should put him home in March. However, you never know specifics with military. His plane leaves at 12pm. Hopefully everything goes well.
Well I'm gonna get some work done before I have to head to Devos to hear a senior case presentation.

Well its Saturday, and I love it. This weekend has been off to a good start. Friday after a busy time with classes and starting rehab, I had dinner with Lisa. It was nice to catch up and just talk with her. Then I went to a hockey game with Kara and Sarah, my future housemates, as well as their boyfriends. Normally I have Bev with me so its not as awkward, but it went well and I had a fantastic time. The game was a fun one to watch, even though they lost 4-2. I must say Sarah's enthusiasm was awesome! "Do you think that "A" means something special?" We went to Kara's afterwords, made no-bake cookies, and then watched The Hangover. It was quite good. Much better than I anticipated.
Today, Matt and my mom came up to visit. While my mom went to some...thing...Matt and I sat in the Gilmore TV Lounge and watched Monty Python and the Search for the Holy Grail. I may or may not have fallen asleep half way through. Staying up till 3 am the night before may not have been a very good idea. Then Matt and Mom went to the bookstore where Matt got a lanyard and a new t-shirt, since he outgrew the one I got for him a year ago. Then we went to Red Robin and then the men's basketball game. They won so that's always good. Matt and Mom left after the game and I've been sitting in my room watching random TV. I decided to switch things up a little and venture from the TV and update my blog. Tomorrow will have to be homework day, hopefully I'll get something done.

Jan 17 - David and Emma
It is with a heavy heart that I post this evening. I found out around 6:45 pm that two Hope College students died in a plane crash this morning. Its just now hitting me, after really having time to sit and think. I did not know the 2 students all to well. David was a sophomore and an exchange student from Kenya. My one interaction with him was in the training room during soccer try-outs. He seemed to be a very happy individual. Emma, I didn't know very well, but her younger sister lives on my hall. When I think about how Lizzie, her sister, might be feeling I just lose it. I can't imagine my little sister dying at such a young age. Having so much potential left, having not seen the world, being only in college. I think that is what really gets me. I've finally realized that I won't see David in the training room. I'll never have the chance to meet Lizzie's sister, whom she looked so much alike. Its hard to think about them in the past tense, knowing they are both gone. The only comforting part is that they are in a better place now. As cliche as it sounds, its comforting knowing that both are in a place where everything goes well, where there is no pain or sorrow. They are in their heavenly father's arms. Please keep both their families in your prayers, as well as the Hope students who were such good friends to these two students.

Well its finally the weekend and I'm loving it. I got to sleep in today till 8:30 which was nice. Class started at 9:30 so I actually was able to look nice today. Always a plus. Classes started with Ex Phys followed by Injury Assessment, then Practicum, and finally World Music. I'm gonna include a schedule on here, that way I won't have to keep telling you what classes I had each day. :)
This weekend will be a nice recovery time for me. I don't have to work any basketball games so that's nice. I just have to get some homework done, maybe I'll even try and work ahead, who knows. :)
I'm hungry, so I'm gonna try and find someone to eat with. Enjoy the schedule.
Till next time,

Jan 13
Well today is the second day of classes. Yesterday went well. I started at 8 am and got out a bit early. That probably won't happen all to often though. I then got re-certified in CPR, followed by dinner with Kate and Erin which was nice. I was then able to pay some bills, send out mail, just random things till 3 when I went and worked at the Dow. Then at 6 I helped with physicals for some athletes who transferred or decided late that they wanted to participate. I even got free pizza out of it. :)
Today started early. Too early. My exercise physiology lab starts at 7:30 am and goes till 9:20. Then I go to ex. phys lecture till 10:20. Then I chill in Devos till 11 when my assessment class starts. I then went and ate lunch with Kate, Sarah E. and Blair. (Go Cats! They won last night.) Anywho...I then went to World Music. That will be an interesting class. Hopefully the prof doesn't drive me absolutely batty. Fingers crossed. Then I went to the bookstore. I had to exchange my used lab book of a new one, which costs me an extra $20. Why you ask? Cause the lab book as pages you have to tear out and mine were missing some. Looks like I won't be able so sell this one back. :( Oh well...life goes on. I bought some binders, got organized, and now I'm gonna get working on some homework for my 8 am assessment class tomorrow. Woot woot!

Well its the end of the week here, outside of traveling to K-Zoo tomorrow with the women's basketball team. Its been nice and pretty relaxing overall. Tuesday consisted of practice and then pizza dinner at Kirk's. Wednesday I covered a home basketball game where the women played Alma and won by 21 pts. Woot woot! Thursday was a repeat of Tuesday but instead of dinner at Kirk's, Emilee and I went to Tonia's where she made white chicken chili. The flavor was good, I'm just not a fan of the beans, so I just ate the chicken. Today, I picked up my my new boots, and covered practice. It started a bit earlier than normal which in turns mean getting done earlier. I'm on my own for dinner tonight, which translates to Easy Mac. Not too bad. So now, I'll probably watch some tv, maybe read some of the book I got for Christmas, and continue snacking. Well...I think I'm gonna be done with blogging for tonight.

My roomie just got back and I'm loving it. Its so nice to have other people around!

Well I'm sitting in my room at Hope, watching Mythbusters, and its rather spooky. Why you ask? Perhaps its because its night time and I'm in my room alone. Then when you add in the fact that I'm essentially the only person living in Gilmore...how would you feel? Its all good though. I spent this morning watching random TV shows and putting things away. I went to work around 2. It was my first day back working in the training room, and oh how I've missed it. It was pretty boring come 4 though since practice started at 3:30. Emilee and I found things to do though, playing mah-jongg, organizing the tape drawers, making a playlist for the training room, and watching practice. Afterwards, we made our way to Brian's house where his wife made us dinner. This was around 7. Hooray for a long day. Now get this, I tried something new today, Cincinnati Chili. And in all reality, it wasn't too bad. The rolls were amazing though! Emilee and I entertained there 2 daughters till their bed time then we stopped at Wal-Mart for what we believe is an awesome idea. We bought tackle boxes to use for all the meds so we know where they all are in our kit. Pretty smart if you ask me, can't take credit for it though. :) Well tomorrow will probably a repeat of today, hopefully I'll figure something out for dinner.
Till next time,

Jan 1
Well I rang in the New Year with my family and actually went to a friend's where there was a surprise party for his mom's 40th birthday. I played a lot of euchre with the friends, rang in the new year, then headed home. This morning I woke up this morning, worried sick that I missed the Rose Parade. I turned on the TV and searched for the parade and could not find it for the life of me. Turns out I tried to find the parade too early. Oh well, in the end I got to see the parade and even got to watch it with my family. Double bonus. The rest of the day was spent watching sports, the holiday classic and all the bowl games. I'm doing horrible in my family's bowl picks. I'm currently bringing up the rear. Why I continue to do it is beyond me. Probably cause I'm a sucker for some competition. Well now its Jan 2, barely, and I'm headed to bed. Night.
